Arthur Wright Life and Times

Arthur Earl "Bo" Wright, a cherished soul and respected member of his community, concluded his earthly journey on March 8, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on February 19, 1950, in Headland, Alabama, to proud parents Arthur and Alberta Wright, he grew up with a strong sense of faith and family. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

Arthur was a lifelong resident of Dothan, Alabama, where he built a life filled with love, service, and dedication. A man of deep faith, he embraced Christianity early in life, becoming a committed member of Rocky Mount Freewill Baptist Church and later, Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church. His spiritual commitment was a testament to his character, guiding him in his daily life and interactions with others.

Bo was the embodiment of love and devotion as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His transition from this world to the next was peaceful - a gentle farewell to a life well-lived.

Arthur's education was a source of immense pride for him. A graduate of Carver High School's Class of 1968, he carried the lessons learned there throughout his life. His service to his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps was a reflection of his dedication to duty and honor. He later joined Ford Motor Company in Edison, New Jersey, where he worked for many years before returning to Dothan. Back home, Arthur became a valued employee of Weatherly Plumbing Company, where he devoted over 30 years of service until his retirement. His expertise as a Certified Plumber and Gas Fitter was recognized and appreciated by all who worked alongside him.

Arthur's life was one of purpose and passion, driven by the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." His commitment to his family, his work, and his community was a living example of this philosophy, and his success in enriching the lives of others was unparalleled.

Arthur was preceded in departure by his loving parents; his brothers: Arthur Willis and Marvin Wright; his revered grandparents: Reverend L. Wright and Nervie Wright.

His memory lives on through his beloved wife: Brenda Wright; his son and daughter-in-law: Cashawn and LaTanya Wright of Simpsonville, South Carolina; his cherished grandsons: Jackson and Jayden Wright. He also leaves behind his devoted siblings: Roberta Smith, Lonnie (Betty) Wright, Johnny (Delores) Wright, and Jimmy Wright; all of whom will miss him dearly. A constellation of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also mourn his passing and celebrate the impact he had on their lives.

As we bid farewell to Arthur Earl "Bo" Wright, a man of honor, integrity, and unwavering love. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us all. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the joy he brought into our world and the lasting impact he made. Arthur's journey on earth may have concluded, but his story will be told for generations to come.
